Good news from the SKAIO wooden high-rise in Heilbronn. The innovative project by Kaden + Lager architects is one of the three finalists of the German Sustainability Award in the category architecture.
“All three finalists of this year’s German Sustainability Award for Architecture solve their respective construction tasks in an extraordinary, exemplary manner. They show in a special way how good architectural quality can be combined with innovative solutions and high sustainability standards,” DGNB President Amandus Samsøe Sattler explains the decision for the three finalists.
It was an inspiring experience for us to participate in this innovative combination of timber construction and aluminum cladding. The warm Duraflon metallic colour provides a durable, radiant appearance in the middle of the Heilbronn Neckar river bank.
No matter how the competition will end, the efforts of all those involved have already paid off: the SKAIO was awarded the extraordinary “DGNB Diamond” certificate.
